Abstract
The aim of the study was to assess the effect of mild to moderate alcohol on the pulmonary functions in comparison to non-alcoholic.
Objectives: To assess the pulmonary function tests in non-hazardous (mild to moderate) alcoholic from outpatient department of psychiatry and pulmonology in comparison to non-alcoholics of SRM Medical Hospital and Research Centre, Kattankulathur.

- Sample size: 60
- Equipment: “Easy one pro” Computerized Spirometer
This prospective study was carried out in 30 healthy non hazardous (low to moderate) alcoholics subjects came for counseling and treatment at department of pshychiatry, SRM medical college hospital and research centre and 30 healthy controls of same age group. Non hazardous Alcoholics have a positive effect on PFT parameters.
